I am Kain, a vampire. I was/am ruler of Nosgoth, Lord Kain. I started off as human, and was murdered and ressurected as a vampire by the Necromancer Mortanius. I killed my assassins and then found the spectre of the Balance Guardian, Ariel. She had me kill all of the corrupted Pillar Guardians and restore balance to Nosgoth. I was tricked by the Time Streamer Moebius into unwillingly become the author of my own species' extinction save for me. Eventually I was greeted with the realization that I was the new Balance Guardian, and the only survivor of the Circle of Nine. After all of the Guardians were dead, I had the choice of saving the world (by sacrificing myself, ending the vampires' existence) or refusing the sacrifice and damn the world to ruin, but essentially overtake the world. Guess which one I chose. Anyway, a millenium from then I had risen an army of vampires who under my rule controlled the world, and I raised six faithful lieutenants from the corpses of the greatest (yet long dead) Sarafan Knights. Together we ruled the world until my best and favorite 'son', my lieutenant Raziel, evolved before me and grew a pair of wings. I had him condemned to be executed in the Lake of the Dead, where centuries later he came back to wreak his vengence on me and his traitorous brethren. I led him into Nosgoth's past, where I hoped he would discover and fulfill his intended destiny to save Nosgoth, and where I would reclaim MY true destiny of restoring balance to the world...
